On 15th August 2026, Kuruwan Public School, Surajpur celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event was held under the overall leadership of Principal Ma'am.
The programme was anchored by Sanjay Sir. Dance and speech preparations were handled by Stuti Ma'am and Deepa Ma'am, who also guided the students during their performances on stage. Aditya Sir managed all event arrangements. Mamta Ma'am, Sonika Ma'am, and Bharti Ma'am provided full support throughout the event. The School Chairman graced the occasion with his presence, and parents also attended in good numbers.
The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony. As the tricolour was raised and the National Anthem played, all students, teachers, staff, and guests stood at attention with great pride and emotion.
Cultural Performances
Students presented six energetic and colourful dance performances that filled the audience with joy and patriotic spirit.
1. "Chote Chote Bachche Hain / Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon"
Our youngest students stole the show with their adorable and energetic performance on this classic patriotic medley.
Girls: Aru, Suhani, Deepanjali, Divya, Anshu, Geyman, Pari, Meenakshi, Divya, Urmi
Boys: Shaurya, Lov, Rihans, Chandravesh, Suraj, Gulsha
Costume: White T-shirt, blue/black pants, tricolour ribbons
2. "Sande Se Aate Hain / Chak Dhoom Dhoom"
A lively and cheerful performance full of rhythm and enthusiasm.
Group 1: Radhika, Shreya, Rajnandini
Group 2: Divya, Aditi, Nayara, Priya, Preeta, Hemlata
Costume: School uniform — green T-shirt, lower, tricolour ribbons in hands
3. Special Group Dance — White Ensemble
Dressed in white and carrying tricolour ribbons, this group presented a graceful and coordinated performance.
Girls: Shruti, Kavya, Yachna, Swati, Chandni, Ruhi, Soumya, Shashi, Namrata
Boys: Rudraksh, Kanish, Ritesh, Divyansh, Raunak, Ravi, Aryan
Costume: Girls — white frock | Boys — T-shirt and jeans | All — tricolour ribbons
4. Special Performance
Muskan and Tejasvi gave a special dance performance that was appreciated by all.
5. "Rind Pusma"
A soulful and expressive performance by: Shivansh, Pratibha, Mahima, Kushagrita, Bhavna
6. "Aabad Hai, Aabad Rahega" — The Grand Finale
The grandest performance of the day — a large ensemble that brought the audience to its feet with sheer energy and patriotic spirit.

Their performance was the highlight of the entire celebration and left the audience spellbound.
