At Kuruwan Public School, we understand the importance of a safe and reliable transport system for students. While the school currently does not own its own transport vehicles, we ensure that students have access to alternative and efficient commuting options.

✔ Personal Vehicles – Students can commute using their own or their parents’ vehicles.
✔ SECL (South Eastern Coal Fields Limited) School Bus – SECL provides a dedicated bus service for village children, ensuring a smooth and safe journey to school.
✔ Public & Local Transport – Students can also opt for local means of transport where available.

🚸 Safe Travel Guidelines for Students (Nursery to Class 5)

Ensuring the safety of our youngest students is crucial. Parents and students must follow these guidelines for a secure travel experience.

🚗 Guidelines for Personal Vehicle Travel

✔ Parental Supervision: Students must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
✔ Proper Seating & Safety Gear: Seat belts are mandatory in cars; helmets must be worn on two-wheelers.
✔ Drop-Off & Pick-Up Timings: Follow the school’s designated schedule to avoid congestion.
✔ Authorized Pick-Up Persons: If someone else is picking up the child, inform the school in advance.
✔ No Speeding Near School: Drive carefully around the school premises.
✔ Early Arrival Recommended: Avoid last-minute rush to ensure student safety.


🚌 Guidelines for SECL School Bus Travel


✔ Boarding & De-Boarding Safety:

  • Arrive 5 minutes early at the bus stop.

  • Form a queue while boarding and exiting the bus.

  • Avoid pushing or running near the bus.
    ✔ Seating Rules:

  • Remain seated while the bus is moving.

  • Do not lean out of windows or engage in disruptive behavior.

  • Young children should sit in the front section for extra safety.

  • ✔ Behavior Expectations:

  • Follow driver and attendant instructions.

  • No shouting, fighting, or misbehavior inside the bus.
    ✔ Emergency Preparedness:

  • Stay calm in emergencies and follow staff instructions.

  • Inform the bus attendant immediately if feeling unwell.
    ✔ Parental Responsibilities:

  • Ensure your child is at the bus stop on time.

  • Be present at the drop-off point to receive young students.

  • Inform the school in advance if the child will not use the bus on a particular day.

✔ The school does not allow students (Nursery to Class 5) to travel alone.
✔ Any transport changes must be communicated in advance.
✔ Regular transport safety training will be conducted for students.
