Uniform Guidelines

At Kuruwan Public School, we maintain a standardized dress code to ensure discipline, uniformity, and a sense of belonging among students and teachers. The prescribed uniform must be worn properly and neatly at all times during school hours, events, and functions.

1. Student Uniform

👧 Girls' Uniform (Primary Section)

  • Shirt: Yellow polo T-shirt with a navy blue collar and sleeve borders
  • Pinafore: Red and navy blue checkered (pleated skirt-style) with a white belt
  • Leggings: Maroon color (compulsory)
  • Belt: Red and yellow striped belt with a white buckle
  • Socks: Yellow
  • Shoes: Black shoes
  • Winter Wear: Red sweater or red blazer

👦 Boys' Uniform (Primary Section)

  • Shirt: Yellow polo T-shirt with a navy blue collar and sleeve borders
  • Shorts: Red and navy blue checkered shorts
  • Belt: Red and yellow striped belt with a white buckle
  • Socks: Yellow
  • Shoes: Black shoes
  • Winter Wear: Red sweater or red blazer

2. Teacher’s Uniform

👩‍🏫 Female Teachers

  • Saree: Sky blue with a matching border
  • Winter Wear: Black full blazer (compulsory during winter)
  • Footwear: Black shoes
  • Socks: White

👨‍🏫 Male Teachers

  • Shirt: Light blue formal shirt
  • Pants: Dark blue formal trousers
  • Winter Wear: Black full blazer (compulsory during winter)
  • Footwear: Black shoes
  • Socks: White

3. General Guidelines for All Students and Teachers

✅ Uniform must be clean, well-pressed, and in good condition every day.
✅ Shoes must be polished and neatly worn.
Identity cards must be worn at all times.
✅ Girls with long hair should tie it neatly with black or red hair bands.
✅ Boys must keep their hair short and well-groomed.
✅ No jewelry, fancy accessories, or makeup is allowed in school.
✅ In winter, only the school-prescribed sweater or blazer must be worn.
