These Terms apply to all visitors, parents, students, staff, and any other users who access the website. These Terms are subject to change; continued use of the site after any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Permitted Use of Website & Portals

You agree to use this website and portals only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portal, account, or server resource
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any form (admission inquiry, contact, registration)
• Share your portal login credentials (username and password) with any third party
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to scrape or extract data from any KPS portal
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content of any kind
• Impersonate school staff, management, or any other user
• Attempt to modify, tamper with, or delete student attendance, marks, or fee records without authorisation

3. Admissions & Registration

Submission of an admission inquiry or online registration form does not guarantee admission to Kuruwan Public School. All admissions are subject to seat availability, eligibility criteria, verification of submitted documents, and final approval by the school administration. The School reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons. Any admission obtained through misrepresentation of facts or submission of forged documents will be cancelled without refund of fees paid.

4. Fee Payment Terms

The following conditions apply to all fee transactions:

• Fees are due as per the schedule published by the school administration at the start of each academic session.
• Online payments are processed via Razorpay (a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway). KPS is not liable for technical failures on the part of the payment gateway.
• If a transaction is debited from your account but not reflected in the school's ERP, contact the school office within 7 working days with your bank transaction reference number.
• Fee receipts generated by the school ERP system are the official proof of payment. Parents should retain digital or printed copies for their records.
• Fees once paid are generally non-refundable except in cases of school-initiated cancellation of admission, or as specifically mandated by applicable RTE/government regulations.
• Late fee payments may attract penalties as notified by the school at the beginning of the academic session.

5. Parent & Staff Portal Usage

Access to KPS ERP portals is granted on a role-specific basis and is strictly personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any activity performed under your login session is your sole responsibility. You must immediately notify the school office if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. The School reserves the right to suspend or terminate portal access for misuse, prolonged inactivity, or breach of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, school branding, and software — is the exclusive property of Kuruwan Public School and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, modify, or commercially exploit any content from this website without the prior written permission of the School management. Personal, non-commercial use (such as printing a timetable or fee structure for your own reference) is permitted.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The KPS website and portals are provided "as is" and "as available". While we strive to ensure the accuracy of published information, we make no warranty — express or implied — that the website will be error-free, continuously available, or free from technical issues. Information on the website (fee structures, timetables, exam schedules) is subject to change without prior notice. Parents and students should verify critical information directly with the school office.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kuruwan Public School, its management, and staff shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from: (a) your use of or inability to use the website or portals; (b) any technical downtime or data loss due to server issues; (c) unauthorised access to your account if caused by your failure to safeguard your credentials; or (d) third-party payment gateway failures. This limitation does not exclude liability for fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Code of Conduct for Online Communication

All users of the KPS portals and contact forms agree to communicate respectfully with school staff. Abusive, threatening, or defamatory communication submitted via any official KPS channel will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to law enforcement under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the KPS website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Surajpur District, Chhattisgarh, India. These Terms are also subject to applicable rules and guidelines issued by the Chhattisgarh State Education Department and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) where applicable.

12. Photography & Social Media Consent

KPS photographs and records school events, sports days, cultural programmes, prize distributions, and campus activities for documentation and school promotion on its website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. By enrolling at KPS, parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Group photographs and video footage of school events may be published on the KPS website gallery, social media handles, and official school notices without individual prior approval for each image.
• All media is used strictly for non-commercial, school-related purposes. Student images are never licensed to or used by third-party advertisers.
• Parents who object to their child appearing in published school media must submit a written opt-out request to the school office. KPS will make reasonable efforts to exclude that child from future publications.
• Unauthorised photography or video recording of school premises, staff, or students by visitors or parents is prohibited without written permission from school management.

13. Force Majeure & School Closure

KPS shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in providing services due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, or severe weather events (particularly relevant for Chhattisgarh monsoon season)
• Government-ordered school closures (elections, national mourning, health emergencies, or public curfews)
• Pandemics, epidemics, or disease outbreaks requiring temporary school suspension
• Power or infrastructure failures beyond the school's control

Fee policy during closures: School fees paid for a term are not automatically refunded for closures caused by force majeure events. However, where school-directed closure extends beyond 30 consecutive days, the School Management will review and communicate a fee adjustment or credit policy for the affected period. RTE-quota admissions are subject to Government directions during such periods.

14. Transport Service Terms

For students availing the KPS school bus/transport facility, the following additional terms apply:

• Transport charges are payable monthly in advance as per the route-wise fee schedule. Non-payment may result in suspension of the transport service for the child.
• Parents/guardians must ensure a responsible adult is present at the designated pickup/drop point at the scheduled time. The school accepts no liability for a child who is not collected at the designated drop point.
• Route timings are subject to change due to road conditions, seasonal flooding, or administrative decisions. Parents will be notified of changes via school notices.
• Students must behave appropriately on the school bus. Repeated misconduct on the vehicle may result in cancellation of the transport facility without refund.
• The school maintains basic safety standards for its transport vehicles; however, KPS is not liable for delays or disruptions caused by third-party road conditions or vehicle breakdowns beyond its control.
